Since 2007, the 112 Awards Ceremony is organised every year by the European Emergency Number Association. It intends to recognise and congratulate individuals and organisations particularly engaged in improving and promoting the European emergency number 112. The awardees are selected by all EENA members.
Every individual and organisation, which show evidence of extraordinary behaviour and/ or results and / or achievements in categories such as Education on 112, Citizen and Emergency Rescue, Emergency Call Centre or National 112 System can submit a testimony and apply for a 112 Award.
The selection is ensured by members of EENA's Advisory Board and 112 Emergency Services Staff Network. The 112 Awards Ceremony is attended by high level political personalities, representatives of EU Institutions, emergency services and solution providers.
