"112" songs

 .

Do you remember the song by Wyclef Jean featuring Mary J. Blige - 911?
It was a great love song reaching tops of the lists. Everybody was singing: "Someone please call 911, Tell them I just been shot down...''

Surprising as it may seem it is also a song about ... very well known American emergency number 911. After such a success of the song, the emergency number became even more popular in US then it was before.

In Europe we are facing totally different situation. Only one out of four Europeans recognises 112 as the number to be dialled in emergency situation when abroad. We are far from spontaneous recognition of 112 as the main emergency number.
