The Polish Association of Fire Engineers and Technicians is a scientific and technical organization founded in 1983. In the same year it became a part of the Federation of Scientific and Technical Organizations of the Main Technical Organization (FSNT NOT). There are about 2000 members in 21 branches of the Association, mostly engineers involved in fire protection by virtue of their profession.
The most important activities of the Association include, among many others, organizing specialist conferences, seminars and trainings concerning specific fire protection problems.

The Special Telecommunications Service of Romania - STS- is the central specialised structure, having a legal status, which organises and coordinates the activities in the special telecommunications field for the public authorities in Romania and for other users as specified by the law. The institution has a military structure and is part of the national defence system.  A high level of protection and confidentiality characterises the special telecommunications. The activity of the Special Telecommunications Service is organised and coordinated by the Supreme Council of National Defence and is placed under the control of the Romanian Parliament, through the Defence, Law Enforcement and National Security Commissions in the two Chambers of Parliament. STS installs, operates and maintains the National Unique System for Emergency Calls - 112, according to the quality requirements.

Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief is a constituent body of the Ministry of Defence. It performs administrative and professional protection, rescue and relief tasks as well as other tasks regarding protection against natural and other disasters. ACPDR is divided into six internal organizational units (four sectors and two services) based in Ljubljana as well as 13 other ACPDR branches operating throughout Slovenia. Within each branch there is a regional notification centre that performs a 24-hour duty service. Disaster management system is one of the three pillars of the RS national-security system that also encompasses protection, rescue and relief activities. The aim of the system is to reduce the number of disasters and to forestall or reduce the number of casualties and other consequences of such disasters.

The Provincial Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Poznan  is one the basic part of the national firefighting and rescue system (which is an integral part of the internal safety structure of the state) at the territory of Wielkopolska. It is an organizational unit of regional level which is a superior body to 31 county/town headquarters of the State Fire Service located in each of 31 local districts. Wielkopolska Province is inhabited by 3.346 millions people, which constitutes 8.65% of the total population of Poland.

Emergency Fire & Rescue Unit, or as it is better known amongst its members and the public in general E.F.R.U, was founded in May 2006. The Unit is a non profit making voluntary organisation, which is set up primarily to provide emergency rescue services as a backup to the Constituted authorities in case of national catastrophes such as earthquakes, major disasters, airplane crashes, floods, and similar occurrences. E. F. R. U. is also equipped to offer its services to commercial and other charitable organisations who may, from time to time, request its assistance be it on land or water.

NINSS actively promotes the exchange of information and best practice to improve communication and co-operation across borders, sectors and disciplines. A network comprised of Nordic and international experts from the public and private sector, governmental organizations and authorities and Universities contribute to the activities and assignments conducted by NINSS.
