1. Letters to communicate the city, area, county : in my case AC for AACHEN
2. one or two letters - no special meaning but often used to communicate the initials of the owner.
I have not used these initials but the letters EU to communicate my mission, hobby - whatever you may call it it - this is to actively contribute to the development of a unified Europe where people can live in freedom and peace.
3. 2 or 3 numbers - to differentiate plates with same letters I have chosen '112' because together with the letters 'EU' this is the most important means of communication needed in my business - which fire , rescue and medical emergency response.
112 as the European emergency call number could and should be a European success story - and I am convinced that all together we can reach this goal.

Joan M. Hansen - Citizen
In 2008, while Danish teenagers Joan and Laura were cooking, an explosion seriously burnt Laura. Joan reacted very quickly, following safety tips she had been taught. Meanwhile, a teacher rushed at the scene of incident and dialled 112. This enabled the first-responders to intervene in a short time and carry Laura to the best suited specialised hospital. Her doctors said she had been able to make a full recovery without any permanent injuries because her friend Joan was able to react quickly and appropriately.
Krystian Drozdek - Citizen
In 2007, Polish three-year-old Krystian Drozdek dialled 112 because his mother was not feeling well and was, in fact, about to fall into coma. Thanks to this emergency call, his mother was saved.
