"In 2002, when I learned about the 112 issue, I was very disappointed & angry at Europe for not implementing a service that would save lives among European citizens. I thought that this cause deserved more energy and decided to give some. My involvment was reinforced by the end of 2007 when - 6 months before the birth of my first child - I had a serious accident in a forest downtown Brussels. It took the emergency services more than 30 minutes to arrive, they couldn't locate me. That day, I decided that I would get more involved in the 112 issue. For my family & friends but most of all for our children and the generations to come."

Emmanuel Paul was born on 07/04/1977 in Brussels. He is married since 2007 and has two daughters. He is the President of the 112 Foundation since its creation the 11/2/2009. For the last 7 years, he has contributed a lot to activities of the European Emergency Number Association.

He founded his own company - Eventattitude S.A. (photo & video marketing) - in 2001 and currently remains shareholder & managing partner.

Emmanuel holds a Master degree in Public Relations from IHECS (applied communications).

Anne Pflimlin

"I was raised in a loving spirit for European construction as Pierre Pflimlin former historical President of the European Parliament was my great uncle. It was obvious for me to respond to Olivier Paul-Morandini and broadcast on Liberty TV, where I hosted a show on traveling the world, the 112 emergency concern he had so strongly carried forward.

I became more and more involved in this noble cause. But if everybody agreed that it was essential to offer this first international security number to care for European Citizen, it is far from simple to make it happen as an efficient reality.

I am proud and convinced to be part of the movement. In the United States you are dialing 911 almost as first aid reflex this level is not quite achieved but 112 is on the right tracks.

As a managing partner and shareholder of ECS European Communication School, I felt personally concerned for my own children, for the ECS students living mobility between schools and universities and for unknown travellers alike. European mobility is a wonderful reality, overcoming boundaries with the same security in mind: dialing 112 in case of emergency ! And getting a quick efficient multilingual answer anywhere. We are getting there."
