C'était une chanson d'amour qui a atteint le sommet des classements. Tout le monde chantait : "Someone please call 911, Tell them I just been shot down...''
Surprising as it may seem it is also a song about ... very well known American emergency number 911.
After such a success of the song the emergency number became even more popular in US then it was before.
In Europe we are facing totally different situation. Only one in five Europeans recognise the 112 as the number to be dialled in emergency situation when abroad.
We are far from spontaneous recognition of the 112 as the main emergency number.
What can we do?
Nara Noian (www.nara-noian.com) created the music of the 112 Anthem. Lyrics in French and English are now available. We now invite all of you to write the lyrics in your language!
